The location of this hotel was definitely the highlight of our stay. Being located on the ocean is a big plus, but on top of that you are also in close proximity to Broadway at the Beach, the boardwalk, Family Kingdom Amusement Park, and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops.
1) The thermostat in our room didn't work - no matter how much we lowered the temperature, the room temp stayed the same which was not so great in a heat wave 2) The one elevator in our building (Palmetto Tower) was insanely slow so we usually opted for the stairs - not bad for us because we were on the second floor, but could have been a problem if we were higher up. 3) The parking garage is not attached to the building you stay in, but rather across the street and behind a row of businesses which is a major hassle when traveling with children and luggage.
View of beach, but that is all.
Air conditioner didn't work well. But we didn't find this out until we returned about 11pm. We had to go down to our car and bring up a fan we had brought with us. The bathroom was small and didn't seem that clean either. When I complained the next morning at check-out, they didn't seem to care. They could have at least taken a little off the room. There is no way I would stay there again. This room was worth about $80 not $209. in short it sucked.
The room was clean.
Great if you have children and teens. Would not recommend if you are wanting peace and relaxation (I.E. a girl's weekend). Staff was not very accommodating, friendly, or helpful....but then again, you rarely need them so I guess it's fine. When you book, ask not to be put in the two- story "Registration" building. No elevator, not worth the cost of an "ocean front" room as the activities are right below you.
the view and short distance to beach
to many Families with kids, would like a more Honeymooner atmosphere :)but still had a wonderful time, will come again
The view was amazing and the staff were welcoming. It was a nice getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary!
The first room we were placed in was not clean so we were quickly moved to a new room.
closeness to the beach was great
We didnt have comforters on our bed, and I didnt like the fact that we didnt have a full sized refrigerator.
Price has been told one at the beginning and at the check out it went up. Also, for the price we paid they should include the breakfast. For sucha big building only 2 elevators are not enough, plus carpet inside smells awful.
It is right along the beach side. The hotel room had everything I needed. Stove, microwave, iron and iron board, dishes, pots etc
Right on beach. Plenty of pools on hotel grounds. Lazy river.
We liked spending time at the bools and in the grass area before the beach. You get the beach vibe without the sand, loved it. The lazy river was great except all the people just standing in it so you kept bumping into them with your raft. There are three other pools or more they should go stand in one of those.
I did not like the fact that we asked for a late check out, like 12 instead of 11 nothing extreme and on a weeknight with hardly any other guests in the place during off season, the desk clerk told me there was someone checking into our room and they could not put them any where else. That says to me she was too lazy to move them or the cleaning people did not want to get off their regular routine. We only wanted an hour later, it was our wedding anniversary, and we were not accommodated. On top of that we get to our room and its the wrong type of room. It was about 11 at night and we did not feel like going through the hassle to get changed to the correct room. We were supposed to have a queen bed and instead there were two doubles.
We enjoyed the DJ by the pool. it was decent music and gave some entertainment.
The room was very out dated, on the first floor looking at the pool, no elevators, the air conditioner did not work that well, the service in the red parrot lounge was very slow, no help at check in, no employees to be found, what employees you did see were not in uniform so you were not sure if they worked there and the service at the resturant across the street was very poor. The hotel is in need of up dateing and the wireless service did not work in the room.
I love the pools, spas, and lazy river. Very comfortable rooms. The fitness center is decent and the option of using a sauna is nice. All the available businesses (Starbucks, Ben & Jerry's, Parrot Grill, etc) are bonus features.
The cable in the room was fuzzy on about every channel. I booked my room for $178 for two nights, thinking that my stay was covered, only to find out my card was only charged $108 to cover my first night, and I had to pay another $108 when I arrived. This cut into my budget for the trip. VERY unhappy about that. So a trip that I thought was 178 ended up being 216.
the location and room was great and the staff was very helpful.
out of three breakers hotel there is only one parking area for handicap. the internet service(wi-fi) is horrible and and the Parriot Restaurant Basized ribs needs to be removed from the menu (horrible)
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We requested a non smoking room. The people in the next room were heavy smokers and it was pretty miserable. Management did move us to another room but we had to repack and move everything. We lost a full day of our vacation just trying to resolve this issue and move. The staff was very sorry but no discount on the room or reimbursement. Don't think we will go back to that hotel again
